Photographer Giles Duley is working on a project with UNHCR and as part of that is going through his extensive archive looking for ways to illustrate what's going on now.

This was a series Duley worked on over a few years between 2015 and 2018. He wanted to document some of the shelters refugees were living in, in Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan. He wanted people to understand, that rarely do refugees live in the NGO provided canvas tents we see on TV. So Duley focused his camera on the buildings, excluding people from the images.

Now as these areas are in a lockdown due to the Corona Virus pandemic they take on a new meaning. Imagining families isolating in these confined rudimentary spaces!!
